willverine's bday

With the whole hoohaa regarding the financial strife that has hit the global markets, I've noticed it hasn't stopped S.Africans going large at the supermarket or other retail stores. Worse still, I have been in the CBD quite often during the past two weeks, and Cape Townies are still hitting the bars and restaurants like there's no tomorrow. So I spoke to a china of mine who is heavily in the money market, and he reckons give it another three or so months, then we'll really feel this 'pinch'. Hard. Like a nipple pinch. It's going to hurt like a bitch. Unless you are in exports or travel or such, in which case you are already facked, our time is yet to come.

With that in mind, I still found enough money to head over to the Obz Fest. There are still some things I'm all good for, but Obz Fest, nah. That was the last time. Little whippersnappers all over the show, no jokes. I love school holidays, only for the fact the roads are so much easier on my stress levels at that time. But I'll obviously be visiting the wrong drinking holes if I'm still moaning about them further down the road.

Willverine's birthday bash was a ball. Problem was, I knew too many people there and kept on being distracted. I was here there and everywhere (although I was a regular fixture at the shooter bar), and spent less time on the dance floor than I would have liked. To be honest, I don't remember half the night at Tiger, my last memory either was the second double helping of Pink Panties with She-Devil and Mini driver. I was looking pretty snazzy and all, kitted in a suit. I dig the look, we'll definitely be seeing more of it.

I'm disappointed I don't have many stories of the night to share. I'm very disappointed in my memory. The pictures don't really tell much of a story either, and I don't feature in as many as I usually would.

Things are toight for the weekend, quite a schedule. There's Baldy's countdown on Thursday, then his braai on Friday. Work's end-of-year function on Saturday morning and afternoon, and then either Leon's stag night or Deepdish on Saturday night. I'm leaning towards Deepdish, because I can easily weasel out of driving and it's going to be awesome! Leon's stag thingy is complicated, because someone will have to play designated Dave at both the end-of-year effort AND the later activities. None of us who'll be at both can possibly manage that, no ways.

I got a night to mull it over. Beeeg decision, actually, which goes beyond which will be more awesome (because they both will, in their own rights). Can't I have been in a kryptonite infected meteor shower and be infected with the ability to teleport? That would be cool. And handy.
